Etoposide is a semisynthetic derivative of podophyllotoxin used in combination therapy with other approved chemotherapeutic agents in patients with refractory testicular tumors who have already received  chemotherapeutic, and radiotherapeutic therapy and as first-line treatment in patients with small cell lung cancer.
