Product Description

ESCACID 40 contains the generic medicine Pantoprazole sodium. Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor. Like other PPIs, Pantoprazole exerts its pharmacodynamic actions by binding to the proton pump (H+,K+ -adenosine triphosphatase) in the parietal cells of the stomach. When compared with other PPIs, its binding may be more specific for the proton pump. 

ESCACID 40 is a medication which is used for the treatment of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), Healing of Erosive Esophagitis and Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome. It is a well absorbed drug when administered as an enteric-coated or delayed-release tablet. It produces faster pain relief, ulcer healing and greater efficacy in oesophageal reflux disease
